LEMURIA – The Lost & Forgot Land

Starting with the 19th Century, there have appeared numerous theories regarding lost, sunken lands. It is a fact that we are now observing similarities between different parts of the world, which are suggesting the existence of other continents that could have represented bridges between far and distant places.

One of this so called “worlds” is LEMURIA. It is believed that it was a continent that has existed in ancient times, which has mainly sank beneath the Indian Ocean, due to some cataclysmic changes. As said, Lemuria is a hypothetical land located in the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

Although there is no scientific proof, numerous writers involved in the occult domain, together with some Tamil writers from India and Pakistan are certain that Lemuria was real and existed. It is said that evidence can be found in the name itself of the continent – “Lemuria”. The lemur species can be found now, without any explanation, from Madagascar and the surrounding islands, to Pakistan, India and even Malaysia. Fossil lemurs where found in all these regions, and due to this fact, it was suggested that Madagascar and India, together with the South-Eastern part of Asia, have been part of a greater continent.

There are also numerous theories regarding the races and the people that once walked on this continent (surely, if we admit the fact that this continent really existed, and all that it is said by the occultists and esoterists is real, an not hoaxes). Many theorists have suggested the fact that Lemuria was similar with Atlantis, but being more spiritual than “technological” (must be seen as “intellectual”). Together with the Atlanteans and the Aryans, the Lemurians are seen as one of the roots of our modern humanity.

As in the case of other mystical, ancient civilizations, Lemuria has disappeared, but not its secrets and knowledge. There is a general belief that some of the creatures from Lemuria have saved themselves, together with their entire knowledge, before the land sank under the blue and wrestles waves of the oceans. It was claimed that survivors of this sophisticated continent have saved themselves, and lived on or in Mount Shasta, which is situated in nowadays California.

Today, the “Lemurian Theory” is not confirmed or discredited. It is just a mystery that needs to be solved, or a situation that needs to be clarified. Maybe, we will find the truth behind this story, and hopefully this will happen soon enough for us to know.
