Astrology is the ties between astronomy and the way the world aligns and how it correlates to events in the human world. It is the way a person, the earth, the environment and the cosmos all correlate with each other. There are also metaphysical characteristics and mathematical qualities that all relate to astrology.

Astrology encompasses the usage of horoscopes, which are a general basis of information and tips that provide insight in a person’s life depending on their astrological zodiac sign. Topics that are included in horoscopes include but are not limited to categories in their life and personality such as love, luck, money and career. A person’s personality traits seem to be similar dependent on their birth date and can be specific down to the minute of their birth. It has to do with solar, lunar and planetary alignments at the time a person was born.

There are 12 astrological signs in the Western world and include Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Anyone that falls within each one of the zodiac signs seem to have similar personality traits. Based on culture, astrology has a wide variety of meanings and are interpreted in different ways. Hindu, Mayans, Chinese and other cultures have different methods of obtaining zodiac information.
